BIO

An artist based in London, Rebecca Lennon works across media including video, text, performance, sound and music to think about and play with the non-linear shapes and rhythms of the voice, memory and the speaking body.

Graduating from the Slade School of Art London MA programme in 2010, Rebecca is a visiting lecturer at universities such as Arts University Bournemouth and Royal College of Art (upcoming). Recent exhibitions have included: The Whitstable Biennial 2018, solo shows at Matts Gallery, London and Almanac, Turin and a polyvocal, surround sound performance at Kunstraum, London. Currently she is working towards a video and audio commission for Dilston Grove, Southwark Park Galleries in collaboration with Matt's Gallery, London and Primary, Nottingham, and a video commission for the window of Tintype Gallery, London as part of Essex Rd 6. Rebecca will feature a text in On Care, an anthology of artists writing published by MA Biblioteque next year and will feature on BBC Radio 3 Late Junction in December 2019.
