An artist based in London, Rebecca Lennon works across media including video, text, performance, sound and music to think about and play with the non-linear shapes and rhythms of the voice, memory and the speaking body.
Graduating from the Slade School of Art London MA programme in 2010 Rebecca is currently a lecturer on the Fine Art BA at Arts University Bournemouth. In 2012, she was selected for the European Media Art Award and residency at CANTE, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and participated in a 6 month ACE residency in Mexico City the following year. Until 2014, she was represented by Ceri Hand Gallery, London and has exhibited widely. Recent projects include: The Whistable Biennial 2018, The Ol’ Switcheroo at Jupiter Woods, a solo exhibition at Matts Gallery, London, and a sound work for BBC3's Late Junction mix by artist Benedict Drew. She is currently working on a solo exhibition at Almanac, Turin taking place in June and a touring exhibition launching at Dilston Grove, Cafe Gallery Projects in collaboration with Matt's Gallery early next year to tour the UK through 2020. She also performs spoken word musical projects both independently and in collaboration with other artists.
